Meet Theresa Robin:
A Realtor Who Gets Things Done
If you’ve been around the Mahoning Valley long enough, you’ve probably heard the name Theresa Robin come up when people start talking about real estate. And for good reason—Theresa isn’t the kind of realtor who just lists a property and waits. She’s the one who rolls up her sleeves, gets in the trenches with her clients, and makes sure things actually happen.
People often describe her as serious, straightforward, and no-nonsense—but what really sets her apart is her ability to balance that drive with a genuine care for the people she’s helping. Whether you’re buying your very first home or selling the house where you raised your kids, Theresa brings the kind of steady guidance that makes you feel confident every step of the way.
She’s not in this business to play games or put on a show—she’s in it to get results. Her clients know that when Theresa says she’s going to handle something, she means it. From tough negotiations to small details most people would overlook, she has a way of making the whole process smoother (and faster) than you’d expect.
If you want someone on your side who knows the local market inside and out, who isn’t afraid to fight for your best deal, and who treats your investment like it matters—because it does—then Theresa Robin is the name you need to remember.

🎡 It’s Fair Time, Youngstown! The Canfield Fair is Back! 🎡
Did you know the Canfield Fair has been around since 1846? That’s nearly two centuries of fried food, farm pride, and family traditions. What started as a small agricultural showcase has grown into one of the largest county fairs in the entire country. And every year, locals and visitors alike circle these dates on their calendars because the fair just feels like home.
So why do people keep coming back year after year? Easy:
✨The thrill of people-watching (you’ll see it all at the fair!)
✨The oh-so-delicious junk food you can only justify once a year 🍔🍦
✨Tractor pulls and concerts that light up the nights 🎶🚜
✨Livestock shows that remind us of our deep farming roots 🐮🐷
✨Art displays and GIANT pumpkins that wow the crowd every time 🎨🎃
✨And of course—the sparkling roses, like the Tornado, towering over the midway, lighting up the night sky, and giving the best view of the fairgrounds 🌟🎡 (photo credit: Lisa Lynn Vulovich)
For me, the giant pumpkins and the incredible art displays are always the highlight. But truthfully, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re there for the food, the rides, the animals, or just to soak in the atmosphere.
👉The Canfield Fair is more than just an event—it’s a tradition. Don’t miss your chance to be part of it this year!
What’s YOUR favorite Canfield Fair tradition—food, rides, concerts, or just people-watching?
The Sweet Side
🧁 From Bowling Lanes to Baking Dreams
After 32 years of running Celebrity Bowl with her husband, Susan wasn’t sure what retirement would look like. But in 2022, she discovered a new passion—sugar cookie decorating. What started as a few classes to fill her free time quickly turned into something much bigger. She realized she was “pretty good” at this (we’d call it “amazing”). With a lifelong dream of owning a bakery, she poured her heart into perfecting a cookie recipe she could be proud of. Once she nailed it, there was no stopping her.
Today, Susan’s Sweet Side is known for custom-designed cookies that make birthdays, weddings, and holidays even sweeter. Every creation is hand-decorated, bringing joy to both giver and receiver. For Susan, it’s about more than cookies—it’s about celebrating life’s milestones and making people smile, one batch at a time.
Sweet dreams, it turns out, really do come true.

🍕 Youngstown Pizza:
The Way We Live,
The Way We Love
In Youngstown, pizza isn’t just dinner—it’s who we are. It’s Friday nights with friends, family traditions passed down, and comfort you can taste. Around here, pizza is woven into our memories, our celebrations, and our everyday lives. Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you: we don’t just eat pizza, we love it.
Pizza Parlor: A Lifelong Love
It’s what pizza should be. Pizza Parlor in Girard is the place I grew up with—the one that has stayed my favorite no matter how many new places I have tried. One bite, and it’s not just pizza, it’s nostalgia baked into every 14 inch.
Wedgewood Pizza: Community and Connection
Wedgewood has been making its mark for decades, and it’s more than just the sauce and perfect crisp. It’s people like Fernando, who when he was alive, would come to my old workplace handing out vouchers for free pizza because his granddaughter Gabby worked with us. That’s what makes Wedgewood special—it’s not just about serving food, it’s about taking care of community.
Belleria: The Family Staple
For the Tallman household, it’s been a staple for years. Maybe it’s because it’s right around the corner, maybe it’s because it’s always delicious—but mostly, it’s because it just feels like home. That’s the thing about Youngstown pizza: you don’t just choose a place based on convenience, you choose it because it becomes part of your story.
A Taste of Italy, Our Way
With so much Italian influence in our area, it’s no wonder every shop brings something authentic and different to the table. Some lean into that classic sauce-forward flavor, others go big on the cheese, and some give us crusts that crunch in the best way. None of it’s wrong—it’s all Youngstown. And each slice is perfect in its own way.
More Than Just Food
Here, pizza isn’t trendy or overcomplicated—it’s timeless. It’s what you grab before a football game, bring home on a busy Tuesday, or serve at every celebration. We’ll let New York and Chicago argue over who has the best pizza, but we already know: Youngstown wins, hands down.
🍕 So now we want to hear from you: what’s your go-to Youngstown pizza spot, and what’s the first memory that comes to mind when you think of it?

Friday Night Lights
by G.M. Gotti
Friday Night Lights!
The people here in the Yo are a mix of different beliefs, different backgrounds, and different life experiences, but there is one thing that brings people of different persuasions together here: football.
There is nothing like a Friday night under the lights in the autumn here in NE Ohio. Wearing the school colors, listening to the band play the school fight song, and cheering your local school as they try to bring home as victory is a way of life here in the Yo. It is one of the things that makes living here a special experience. Our football is almost like a religion to the people filling the stands on Friday nights during the fall. Thousands of people all pulling for the same team has a way of bringing diverse groups of people together in a manner that few other things can.
My wife and I spent the opening week of Friday night lights enjoying the Poland/ Salem game this past weekend. We made the drive down state route 45 to the picturesque downtown area of Salem and walked up to the stadium as the air was filled with the smell of popcorn and coffee and the sound of marching bands lending their talents to the special ambiance of a Friday night high school football game. We were treated to a gorgeous sunset as the sky turned pink and purple while the Poland Bulldogs and Salem Quakers treated us to a very entertaining football game full of action. The game went back and forth for most of the evening before the Bulldogs came out on top, but both teams put forth an effort to be proud of. The bands of both schools provided an excellent halftime show as well as filling the air with music and excitement to enhance the action. We drove home afterwards feeling happy and content after our game night experience.
Friday night lights might revolve around a football game, but it is so much more than that. It is the community coming together in a common effort to support the very identity of your town. Wherever you come from, you have a mascot. You have team colors. You have tradition, and these things have a way of bringing people together who might otherwise never engage with each other. It is a special experience people of all ages can enjoy together. So, head down to your local stadium and support the team! You’ll find that it has a way of making you proud to be a member of you community. by G.M. Gotti
