IMAGES ON for the best experience…trust us :)

Youngstown doesn't ease into May.
It kicks the door wide open.

This weekend we've got a free community festival running three days straight, a Cinco de Mayo street party downtown, a Halloween horror fest in MAY (yes, really), a professional ballet, a spaghetti dinner for the scouts, a brand new city passport launching, and enough live music to fill an entire month. Oh — and the weather is finally, finally cooperating.

May we have your attention? Because Youngstown is on fire! 👀

Summer Cruisin’

We’ve got Mill Creek Park, the trails, and all of it right here, so we might as well use it.

An e-bike just makes it easy to get out, go a little farther, and actually enjoy it.

No overthinking, just get on and ride.

If you’ve been wanting to get outside more, this is your move.

Stop by Cruise the Creek and take one out. Make sure to book in advance though as limited spots are available.

New In Town: YoPass

Youngstown Just Got a Really Cool New Idea

You've probably driven past the Butler a hundred times. Maybe you've meant to check out the Ward Beecher Planetarium or the Arms Family Museum but just… never quite made it.

YoPass is here to change that.

Launched by the Economic Action Group, YoPass is a brand new digital passport program that turns exploring Youngstown into an adventure — especially for families. Sign up at yopass.org, then visit any of 14 participating destinations around the city. At each stop, collect a digital stamp, complete a fun activity or scavenger hunt, and rack up rewards just for showing up.

The 14 stops include:

• The Butler Institute of American Art

• OH WOW! Children's Center for Science & Technology

• Ward Beecher Planetarium at YSU

• Lanterman's Mill, Ford Nature Center & Fellows Riverside Gardens (Mill Creek MetroParks)

• Arms Family Museum & Tyler History Center

• Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor

• Rose Melnick Medical Museum

• Clarence R. Smith Mineral Museum

• SMARTS

• Main Branch of the Public Library

• McDonough Museum of Art

And the rewards are real:

• Visit 5 locations → you're invited to the YoPass Wrap Party

• Visit 10 locations → you get a $15 gift card to a local restaurant

• Visit all 14 → surprise prize still being worked out
(we're guessing it's good)

Most stops are free. OH WOW! is even offering a discount to passport holders.

The whole idea grew out of a college internship program — a mentor named Janet Yaniglos pitched it to EAG, the interns built it out, and now two of those same interns are on staff helping run it. That's a Youngstown story.

The launch party is Saturday, May 2 at the McDonough Museum of Art — free, family-friendly, starts at 10 AM. And the program runs all the way through October, so you've got the whole summer to explore.

If you've been looking for a reason to finally see your city — this is it. 🗺️

SPRUCED UP FOR MAY

A clean home just makes everything feel a little easier.

Counters wiped, floors done, everything reset the way it should be.

It’s one of those small upgrades that gives you your time back during the week.

Health Corner:
Is Your Skin Ready for Summer?

The Spring Switch — What to Change in Your Routine Right Now

Here's the truth most people don't know: the same skincare routine you used all winter is working against you now. Spring means more sun, more humidity, more sweat — and your skin needs to adjust.

  • ☀️ SPF every single day — UV damage doesn't take weekends off, and it definitely doesn't care if it's cloudy - or raining - or snowing (we know you, Ohio).

  • 💧 Lighter moisturizer — Swap your heavy winter cream for something gel-based or water-based. Your skin will breathe again.

  • 🧴 Exfoliate — Dead skin from winter is sitting on top blocking everything you put on. Twice a week, gently. That's it. Did we mention we have a $97 Hydrofacial? Yeah we know they’re normally $299 but we’d rather you save your money for the sunscreen lol

  • 🌿 Add Vitamin C in the morning — It protects against environmental damage and gives your skin that lit-from-within glow people always ask about.

  • 🔍 Check in with a pro — If you're noticing new pigmentation, texture changes, or mystery breakouts, don't guess.
    Get eyes on it.

Skin Solution MedSpa offers free skin consultations — they look at what's actually happening with your skin and build a real plan. No guesswork. No pressure. Just results.

If you’re leaving for spring break, this is your sign to come home to a better-looking house.

🌷 Market Moves

Sometimes the biggest upgrade isn’t doing more… it’s making the right move.

Whether that’s finally buying, selling, or just figuring out what your options actually look like right now.

The market isn’t what it was a couple years ago, and having someone who understands how to navigate it makes a difference.

If you’ve been thinking about making a move, even just casually, it might be worth having that conversation.

How to Avoid Summer Nightmares

1-800-Plumber +Air Youngstown

One of those things you don’t even think about until it becomes a problem…

A slow drain. A sump pump that hasn’t been checked in a while. Water sitting where it shouldn’t be after a heavy rain.

Small fixes now save you from big headaches later.

If something’s been off in your home, it’s probably worth getting it looked at before it turns into a bigger issue.
