Avoid a Thanksgiving Disaster!

Youngstown, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to take care of that plumbing or heating issue you keep ignoring, this is it. Brian and Scott Barth built 1-800-Plumber + Air with a simple standard: show up on time, treat people with respect, fix the problem, and leave the home better than you found it.

Their crew is professional, fast, and known for doing solid work without the runaround. Whether it’s a water heater acting up, heat cutting out, or a plumbing issue that’s been bugging you for months — this is who you call when you want it handled the right way the first time.

YoTown Scoop readers get $200 off any water heater when you mention this feature.

Concrete Queen

Winter Driveway Tip:

💧 Manage runoff and drainage —
the silent concrete killer

Ohio’s freeze-thaw swings cause major surface damage when water sits on the slab.

Drainage Tips for Your Home:

  • Downspouts discharge at least 3–4 feet away from slabs.

  • Your driveway apron slopes away from the garage (¼" per foot).

  • Avoid piling snow directly on the edges of the slab — that meltwater refreezes underneath.

Scratch one more thing off your house “to-do” list & call Concrete Queen to get your driveway fixed. Winter is coming so get it done now before the snow gets here!

Is Aging a Disease?

What if aging isn’t just “natural” — but a condition we can treat and slow down?

At Skin Solution MedSpa in Boardman, we’re leading a science-based revolution that challenges everything you thought you knew about getting older. Researchers like Harvard’s Dr. David Sinclair argue that aging meets the criteria of a disease — marked by cellular damage, tissue breakdown, and loss of repair ability. That means we can finally stop playing catch-up and start working proactively to maintain youthful, healthy skin and vitality.

Forget the outdated approach of waiting for wrinkles or fatigue to show up. Today’s strategy is prevention over correction — stimulating your body’s natural repair systems before decline begins. From regenerative microneedling and advanced laser rejuvenation to custom skin programs that boost collagen and restore cellular health, our treatments are built around one idea: working smarter, not harder, against Father Time.

Aging may be inevitable, but looking older doesn’t have to be.
When you combine professional assessment, personalized care, and the latest science-backed technology, you can truly age in reverse.

It’s time to rewrite your aging story.
Book your consultation at Skin Solution MedSpa today and begin your personalized wellness journey — because your best years are the ones you design on purpose.

Start now. Step into prevention. Stay timeless.

TRANS- SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA

I went to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the Covelli Centre this past weekend, and it was nothing short of spectacular!

The music was powerful, the electric strings were unreal to watch, and the lights and pyrotechnics made the whole show feel larger than life. They even used drones, and the way they moved in sync over the crowd was incredible.

The singers were excellent, the band was flawless, and every part of the production felt intentional and immersive.

If you’ve never seen TSO live, it’s absolutely worth experiencing at least once.

Blind Bear Restaurant

We went to the Blind Bear before going to Trans-Siberian orchestra to get a nice dinner with the family. This place never disappoints. The ambiance and the service are always on point. I tried the Fiocchi with Blackened Chicken and it was fantastic. Highly recommend!

🐾 Holiday Pet Parent Checklist:

Keeping Furry Ones Safe, Happy & Stress-Free

🎄 Before the Holidays

Update ID Tags & Microchips: Make sure your pet’s info is current in case they slip out during parties or travel.

Vet Visit & Med Refills: Schedule any checkups and refill medications before offices close for the holidays.

Pet-Safe Decorations: Keep tinsel, ribbon, and ornaments out of reach—especially shiny or edible-looking ones.

Secure Christmas Trees: Anchor trees and avoid stagnant tree water (it can be toxic if ingested).

☐ Holiday Plants Check: Mistletoe, poinsettias, lilies, and holly can be toxic to pets—opt for faux versions.

Sometimes the best gift you can give your pet (and yourself) is peace of mind. 🐶💖

Whether you’re traveling for the holidays or just need an extra set of loving hands while entertaining family, Pawz Pet Sitting Services, owned by our trusted local animal lover Karen, has you covered.

She treats every pet like her own—with reliable visits, walks, feeding, and plenty of cuddles. So go enjoy the holidays knowing your furry family is safe, happy, and cared for.

Contact Karen at Pet Sitting 4 Paws to reserve your holiday pet care spot before they’re full!
